Our Faith Community Welcomes You!

Welcome back to Mass!!!  We will be resuming Public Masses on Saturday, May 30th!  We are on our Summer Schedule:

Please note that Father Phil has added a Saturday, 7:00 p.m. Mass at St. Josesh's!

Saturday:  4:00 p.m. at St. Vincent's - Pentwater with Confessions at 3:30 p.m.           and 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's - Weare with Confessions at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday:  9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's - Weare with Confessions at 8:30 a.m.                   and 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent's - Pentwater

You will notice some changes in the Mass when you return.  We want to keep everyone healthy and safe!  We all know that this has been a very stressful time in our lives and full of so many unknowns.  Please bear with us as we reopen our churches.  Listed below is a basic list of guidelines that we will be following:

PARISHIONER GUIDELINES FOR RETURNING TO PUBLIC MASSES

  • The dispensation from attending Sunday Mass is granted to all Catholics in the diocese through June 30.
  • We recommend people stay at home if they are considered vulnerable due to age (over 60) or have underlying health conditions (e.g., immunocompromised; heart, kidney, or liver issues; diabetes; hypertension; Crohn’s disease; cancer; rheumatoid arthritis; asthma; COPD, etc.)
  • If you are sick, please stay home.

ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED

Churches will reopen at a 25% seating capacity. With fewer people at each Mass, it may not be possible for you to attend with regularity for the first few weeks, or even to attend on Sunday.

SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE PRACTICED

Pews will be taped off to achieve proper social distancing.  Individuals who are not members of the same household will need to sit at least 6 feet away in all directions from others.  The Ushers will help seat parishioners.

MASKS / FACECOVERINGS WILL BE REQUIRED

All members of the faithful who are two years of age and older will need to bring and wear their own appropriate face covering to attend Mass.  Parents, we know this may be hard with young children, please just try your best. Holy Communion may not be received in the hand if you are wearing gloves.

MASS WILL LOOK DIFFERENT

Among a few of the changes: physical greetings will be omitted; the temporary suspension of the distribution of the Precious Blood remains in effect; you are encouraged to give online or in a common basket upon your arrival or departure from Mass.

EXTRA SANITIZATION WILL BE IN PLACE

Ushers or a group of volunteers will be wiping down frequently touched surfaces between Masses. Parishioners are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer.

DISTRIBUTION OF HOLY COMMUNION

  • The faithful receive Holy Communion in the normal way.  For sanitary reasons you are encouraged to receive Holy Communion in the hand rather than on the tongue.  Holy Communion may not be received in the hand if you are wearing gloves.
  • The temporary suspension of the distribution of the Precious Blood remains in effect.

Thank you for your patience during this time and for your generous support of our parish!
